The Israeli Film Festival of Philadelphia looks forward to introducing audiences to Israel's talented filmmakers. The festival presents award-winning feature films and documentaries at venues throughout the Philadelphia area. Reflecting the everyday realities and irrepressible optimism of Israeli society, these outstanding films challenge audiences to look into the hearts and minds of the people of Israel. To ensure that these cultural treasures reach out to a large audience, we hold our screenings at diverse locations in the Greater Philadelphia region.

Understanding how critical the exposure to Jewish and Israeli culture is to young adults, each season we hold at least one screening on or in a close proximity to one of the large college campuses in Philadelphia. For all our screenings, college and high school student tickets are free. In addition, tickets for senior citizens are always discounted. We take pride in our outreach and believe it is an integral part of our larger goal as a cultural organization.

Our mission, to enrich the American vision of Israeli culture and society through film, is achieved every year through hard work of planning and coordination. From choosing a few selected films and coordinating appropriate venues, through copyright negotiations to marketing and ticket distribution, each of the screenings requires many hours of thorough preparation. The Festival’s committee, which is staffed entirely by volunteers, is committed to our audience and our mission statement through this hard work and dedication.
